Presente en los cinco continentes

PRESENT IN THE FIVE CONTINENTS

According to the Egyptians, the stone is an eternal material. That is why they built all their temples and religious constructions with the said material. The enormous structures built by this civilization were the paradigm of those who follow it. This way, the Greeks, Romans or the Mayas cultures, among others, used the stone in order to develop themselves to present.

The Region of Valencia is a very rich area in lithic materials. The stone is closely related to the beginnings of its history. Stones such as Crema Marfil®, Rojo Alicante®, Gris Pulpís, Crema Buixcarró, Rosa Valencia o Bateig, and many other different varieties, are found around all its geography where all the architectonic styles gather: Classic, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Modernisim or Deco.

The area of Novelda, in the province of Alicante, has very high quality stone beds that, around the middle of the eighteenth century, made possible the creation of a new industry which has evolved in the development and professionalization of all the extraction and manufacturing processes. Nowadays, the company members of the association Mármol de Alicante, Asociación de la Comunidad Valenciana, operate in more than 100 quarries in the country, as well as other quarries abroad. Those companies are equipped with the highest technology and professional ability to deal with any request no matter how demanding it is.

Thanks to the high qualification of this sector, the most important companies and architects around the world have shown interest in our products making possible the presence of our stones on emblematic buildings around the five continents.

Mármol Alicante, Asociación de la Comunidad Valenciana has a prestigious catalogue of stones and finished products too long to be listed. The high quality of the finished products manufactured by our companies placed the Community Region of Valencia amongst the most important natural stone regions in the world. We are proud to name a few prestigious and well-known professionals who are witnesses of our materials; architects like Rafael Moneo, Frank O.
