We work constantly on the needs and weaknesses of the sector so that they can be identified and unified with those of the rest of the industry and thus offer an instrument of help or support in each case. Through the working group, or “Mesa Sectorial”, concrete proposals for our sector are highlighted and updated.

In the same way, from this area and through the Clúster Piedra, work is being carried out on issues of vital importance for the sector, such as

Radioactivity. New guideline.

Technical Building Code. New catalogue of construction elements.

Working with the Directorate-General for Housing to promote Reform and Rehabilitation.

Environmental product declarations (DAP).

Analysis of the energy situation of the marble sector

Mármol de Alicante, Association of the Valencian Community has carried out an energy study with the financing of the Ministry of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Commerce and Labor (INENTI/2022/24), and with the collaboration of FEMPA and AIDIMME called “ANALYSIS OF THE ENERGY SITUATION OF THE MARBLE SECTOR”.The conference was inaugurated by Encarni Abad on November 4, giving way to the diagnosis of the energy situation of the marble sector, presented by Joan Pau Plaza Villanueva from AIDIMME, followed by Román Dato Cuadrado from FEMPA presented a series of proposals for improvement actions of energy efficiency.

Guía de procedimiento para la implantación de las Reglas de Categoría de Producto y la Declaración Ambiental de Producto en las empresas del sector de la Piedra Natura

Mármol de Alicante, Association of the Valencian Community has carried out an action called “Procedural guide for the implementation of the Product Category Rules and the Environmental Product Declaration in companies in the Natural Stone sector”, with the financing of the Ministry of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Commerce and Labor (INENTI/2022/24), and with the collaboration of the Marble Technology Center-CTMármol.

On November 28, a conference was held to present the results obtained from this action financed by the Generalitat Valenciana, a meeting that served to show the final details of the action, also being a perfect opportunity to kick off the creation of an official working group for the future drafting of a RCP (Product Category Rule) for natural stone.

The Conference was inaugurated by David Beltrá, president of the Alicante Marble Association, and featured presentations by Carlos Alonso Bahamonde, AENOR Industry Area Coordinator, and Dr. architect David Caparrós Pérez (collaborator in the Action presented and head of the Department of Sustainable Construction and Industry 4.0 of the Marble Technology Center, CTMarmol).
